Make sure that all “connections to the outside world” is blocked

Whenever you need, the data is synched, and when you don’t your phone is not connecting randomly to the internet.

Non-contract iPhone 3G with Tmobile lasts me for 2 days. However, with everything enabled, it lasts me about 8 hours. Sadly, the only way to conserve power is to ensure that push is not enabled. That makes the biggest difference.
