I think there is a need for both, unless you really make the call to enter scheduling information as soon as you realize the need to get something done.
While my workflow is going through some changes based on some recent observations, this is something that I can vouch that does work.
At the very least, it gives you a sense of things to accomplish.

I have to admit that while growing up, I was forced to read The Indian Express at home and The Hindu at school. But, the first paper that I subscribed to - TOI.
